The Council of Forest industries is an accredited lumber grading Agency representing softwood lumber manufacturers in the interior of British Columbia. COFI member mills produce lumber products for domestic and international markets from all major interior softwood species.
Services
- Participation in the development and maintenance of the National Lumber Grades Authority standard grading Rules for Canadian Lumber.
- Participation in the development and maintenance of special product standards for glued and machine stress rated lumber.

Agency Accreditation
- COFI is accredited as a lumber grading inspection agency by the only accreditation body formally recognized by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) - the Canadian Lumber Standards Accreditation Board (CLSAB) - and the Board of Review of the American Lumber Standard Committee, Inc. (ALSC), which operates under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
